Temperature - Live and Trended

Live readings are addictive. You open the app, the number looks fine, you close the app. That is the dangerous loop. The current value can sit comfortably in range while the enclosure is slowly drifting toward a problem you will not notice until it is already there.

What changed how I monitor temperature was getting used to looking at the 24-hour trend before reacting to anything. A spike that came back down in twenty minutes is rarely worth touching. A slow climb of a degree per hour, even if the value is still technically fine, almost always is.

Now my routine is boringly simple. Glance at the live number. Then look at the line. If the line is calm, the enclosure is calm. If the line is climbing, falling, or showing the same dip every afternoon, something in the room or in the setup is doing it on a schedule, and that pattern is the real signal.
